To The Homeless

When I was in elementary school, my father worked for a company that required him to travel virtually every week. When he returned home, he always had a handful of little toiletry bottles from the hotel he stayed at. Over time, they started piling up to the point that we could never make use of all the spare toiletries. That’s when I decided we might put them to good use by packaging them up and distributing them through a food ministry our church sponsored for the local homeless community.

I didn’t know it then, but the need was great for something as simple as soap. In some cases, the homeless in my community had easier access to fresh food and shelter than they did sanitary care. And, just like that, Homeless Hope was born. We are now a nationwide nonprofit organization that delivers toiletries to homeless shelters nationwide, providing the needy with hygienic care essential to good health.
